4 Reasons To Get Your Team Corporate Branded Uniforms

Do you have a problem with employees not dressing as well as you’d like them to for work, whether that’s clothing that’s not appropriate or not up to your standards of professionalism?

Do you feel like your workforce needs to look more the part of the successful business they are a part of?

Those are just a couple of the questions that may have you looking in to corporate branded uniforms, but even if those specific questions aren’t of issue in your workplace, there’s still plenty of good reasons to consider getting branded career wear for your employees:

1.) You’re Projecting a Level of Professionalism

We love fun scrubs, casual Fridays, and the ability to show our personality through our logo’d lab coats, fleeces, work shirts, and sweaters as much as the next guy (Have you seen our collegiate scrubs? We’ll take any opportunity to show our team spirit!), but there’s no doubting that a corporate branded uniform supports a look of professionalism.

And who says you can’t still have casual of fun work wear Fridays?

Not only does having branded work wear present your workforce as a united front, but it also ensures that your employees will be wearing clothing that is work appropriate, which can make or break a customer’s impression.

2.) Your Customers Can Easily Identify Who Works for You

It may sound silly, especially if the majority of your employees wear scrubs (because scrubs are a pretty good identifier of someone working in a medical facility), but having a uniform of a specific color and/or displaying a company emblem makes it easy for someone to flag down an employee should they need assistance.

Nothing is more frustrating for a customer than when they have to approach someone and ask what might be an embarrassing question, “Excuse me, do you work here?” Save them the trouble with an easily identifiable uniform that makes it known that the person they’re approaching is an employee.

For example, I visited a health club whose employees (with the exception of the personal trainers) all dressed in cobalt blue buttoned-up collared shirts. Their front desk staff made it clear to all visitors that if at any point you needed assistance, anyone wearing the cobalt blue button up would be able to help you.

Not only did this practice leave a wonderful impression of professionalism, but it was also extremely easy to pick out employees in the sea of people working out in a large facility.

3.) Your Employees Are Walking Advertisements

Employees who wear a uniform that is sanitary to wear out of the office can be a great opportunity for drumming up some local business.

Of course, this also means that your employees need to be cognizant of the fact that when they’re out in public in their uniform, they’re representing your company off the clock.

This means you may want to take the extra steps of setting up parameters around a uniform code (for example, no drinking alcohol while in uniform), however if one of your employees is running some quick errands after work or on their lunch break, you’d be surprised how often the topic of their workplace will come up. And that can be a great way to spread word of your business in your community.

4.) Your Employees Can Focus on the Job at Hand

Did you know that some of the brightest and highest-earning individuals in the world wear the same thing everyday?

People like the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, Albert Einstein, and even the creative director of the huge fashion house of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, all wear roughly the same thing every day.

And these people all claim do it for the same reason, because knowing what they’re going to wear frees up that much more energy that they can use on other tasks rather than thinking about putting together an outfit.

Think about it, deciding what to wear is often times one of the first decisions you have to make every single day and imagine how much easier it would be to have your go-to uniform so that you had more time, energy and decision-making brain power to use on something else.

By giving your employees a set uniform you can take the guess work out of what they need to wear everyday, and that translates to having more energy to focus on the job at hand.

So, have we made a pretty compelling case for why it’s great to have branded career wear? Trust us, tons of our corporate clients love having branded uniforms for all of these reasons and that’s why they come back to use year after year to place new orders.
